Where Socially Conscious Leaders Find Calm.
Lean into collective care and gain courage and tools for resisting burnout culture.
Reclaim your time and energy by learning how to protect your peace.
The RESET Lab helps leaders set boundaries, align with their values, and make small changes for balance and liberation in their day-to-day work.
Leading with empathy in an unjust world is relentless. You care because you see the brokenness, and you want to fix it. So you carry—people, systems, the weight of it all—until it starts crushing you.
Modern-day work culture is designed to burn you out, to make you believe your worth is in what you produce.
To create real impact, you have to put some of it down. Set boundaries. Focus your energy. Reclaim your power.
Easier said than done.
Yet, as you begin to set it down—bit by bit—you realize that your empathy for a broken world doesn’t require martyrdom. You can love the world and protect your peace at the same time.
Protecting your peace is not stepping away from the work you care about —it’s ensuring you have the strength to keep going.
Exhaustion isn’t a Personal Failure.
I’m Rochelle, and I’ve been where you are.
For years, I pushed myself to the brink—balancing leadership roles, caregiving, and the relentless pressure to perform. A traumatic miscarriage forced me to pause and reimagine everything and make substantial shifts in my work and personal life. I realized that even amidst the chaos of leadership, joy and liberation are possible—not someday, but today. That’s why I created The RESET Lab: to help leaders like you reclaim your time, your truth, and your joy, one small, meaningful shift at a time.
Feeling the pull? Join us for the October 2025 cohort.
What You Can Expect:
Join an intimate, like-minded community of no more than 10 people per cohort, guided by expert facilitation to ensure balanced, meaningful conversations where every voice is heard.

Who is The RESET Lab For?
The Reset Lab is for leaders who care deeply—about their families, communities, workplaces, and the world around them.
If you’re a leader who wants to learn how to take care of yourself in systems that are burning you out, this is for you.
If you’re a leader who cares so deeply that you struggle with boundaries and have nothing left for yourself, this is for you.
I believe that everyone is a leader in their own right—whether you’re an emerging leader, a mid-level manager, a senior executive, or a faith or community leader. Leadership includes community organizers, and people managers across sectors like social justice, DEI, education, healthcare, nonprofit, corporate, and faith-based work.
Designed with care and intention for marginalized individuals navigating unsafe spaces, including BIPOC, LGBTQ+, disabled, neurodivergent, and working-class folks (equity-minded, anti-racist white identifying accomplices welcomed).
If you’re ready to move from overwhelm to alignment, reconnect with your values, and show up fully for yourself and those you serve, you are welcome here.
Testimonials for Rochelle’s Work
“Rochelle’s guided meditation was truly profound.”
“While I've done a fair amount of inner work in the past, Rochelle's guided meditation was truly profound. She has such lovely energy—her vulnerability and relatability made it easy to feel comfortable and open during the workshop, and her ability to create a safe, supportive space fostered that openness throughout the experience. I walked away with a deep gratitude for the journey she led us on.”
-Sinéad Barry, Nonprofit Leader, Communicator, and Culture-creator
“Rochelle is a rockstar. Very empathetic leader that centers social equity.”
Rochelle is a rockstar. Very empathetic leader that centers social equity in all of her decisions. Rochelle helped lead various strategic efforts to aide in the retention of systemically excluded and institutionally oppressed employees at Clark College. She has made a positive impact on the college as a whole and I enjoyed working with her very much. I would be more than happy to recommend her for whatever endeavor she decides to pursue.
-Dr. Rashida Willard, Principal Executive Officer, Collective Work Consulting, LLC

Rest is the Root Word of Restoration
Rest isn’t just a break—it’s a radical act of reclaiming space for ourselves. It’s about stillness, recovery, and reconnecting with what truly matters. Across time, rest has been our way of resetting—not just our bodies, but our minds and spirits too.
Why This Matters
When we rest, we create space to listen to ourselves. In just 10 minutes, we start to feel a shift. We open up, and suddenly, things become clearer. This isn’t just theory—I have shared the power of collective rest in countless workshops and retreats. Rest helps us recognize where we’re out of alignment, saying yes when we want to say no, and pushing too hard.
So before we move on to the next step, we pause. We cannot move to the next step—evaluating where our lives are out of alignment with our values—without first creating this space. It’s a powerful doorway into what’s next.
Questions We’ll Explore:
What does rest mean to me, and how has my relationship with rest been shaped by external expectations?
When was the last time I felt fully recharged—physically, emotionally, or spiritually?
What small act of rest could I give myself, even if it’s just for 10 minutes?
-
The first step to getting unstuck is taking an honest look at your life and circumstances. This kind of self-awareness isn’t about judgment—it’s about curiosity. Where are you thriving? Where do you feel tension? By naming these areas, you uncover what needs to shift.
Why This Matters
When your actions and commitments are out of alignment with your values, it creates tension and overwhelm. Misalignment doesn’t mean you’ve failed—it’s a signal. It’s an opportunity to pause and assess where you’ve said yes when you meant no, or where you’ve been living by others’ expectations instead of your own truth.
This clarity is essential for moving forward with intention. It allows you to identify what’s draining your energy and what’s most important to you. From here, you can begin simplifying and creating space for what truly matters, which is the focus of the next step.
“Your values are the foundation of your freedom. When you honor them, you honor yourself.” – bell hooks
Questions We’ll Explore:
What are my core values, and how are they currently showing up in my daily life?
Where do I feel tension, resistance, or dissatisfaction in my life? What might these feelings reveal about values misalignment?
What’s one small area where I could begin to realign my actions with my values?
-
Simplifying your life isn’t about doing less—it’s about doing what aligns most deeply with your values. It’s an intentional process of letting go of what no longer serves you, whether that’s physical clutter, overwhelming obligations, or draining relationships. Each act of simplification is a step toward reclaiming your energy, time, and focus.
Simplification is also about clarity. By clearing away what’s unnecessary, you create space to say “yes” to what truly matters. This practice not only reduces overwhelm but also nurtures a sense of ease and freedom in your daily life.
Why This Matters
Simplifying your commitments and environment allows you to approach the next step—embracing boundaries—with clarity and intention. When you create space, you pave the way for new habits, routines, and relationships that honor your values and support your growth.
Questions We’ll Explore:
What commitments, habits, or beliefs feel like too much right now?
What would feel lighter if I let it go today?
What’s one thing I can release this week to create more ease in my life?

Setting boundaries is an act of courage and compassion. When we avoid setting boundaries to keep the peace or meet others’ expectations, we may avoid short-term discomfort but end up living with long-term resentment. Experimenting with boundaries is about shifting that dynamic—learning to embrace the temporary unease of saying no or asking for what we need so that we can show up more authentically, with love and integrity, in all areas of our lives.
Why This Matters
As heart-centered leaders, we’re often conditioned to put others first, but setting boundaries is an essential act of self-care and integrity. When we neglect our own needs to meet the demands of others, we risk burnout, frustration, and resentment that undermine our work and well-being. Choosing to set boundaries—despite the discomfort it might bring—is a powerful way to protect our energy, stay aligned with our values, and lead authentically. It’s not about saying no to the world, but about saying yes to ourselves, so we can show up fully and continue the work that matters most. By embracing the discomfort of setting boundaries, we create sustainable change, not just for others, but for ourselves and our communities.
Questions We’ll Explore:
In which areas of your life (work, relationships, self-care) do you feel most stretched or overextended?
Where do you notice tension or resentment building because your needs aren’t being met?
What is one area where you would like to establish a new boundary?

Telling the truth isn’t always easy, but it’s essential for creating a life that aligns with who we truly are. When we speak our truth, we honor ourselves and the people around us. It’s not just about being honest with others; it’s about being honest with ourselves. The truth, no matter how uncomfortable, is what gives us direction in our personal and professional lives. Each time we face it head-on, we make a small, one-degree turn towards the true compass of our heart. Over time, those small adjustments lead us closer to the life we’re meant to live—one that’s authentic, purposeful, and in alignment with our deepest values. By embracing truth-telling, we can navigate through challenges, foster genuine connections, and build the trust that creates meaningful impact.
Why This Matters
As compassionate leaders, the truth is our most powerful tool. When we speak truthfully, we not only honor our own integrity but also create a space for others to do the same. In the work of social justice, advocacy, and transformation, the truth is what grounds us—whether we’re confronting uncomfortable realities, holding space for difficult conversations, or making decisions that shape the future. Every time we tell the truth, we adjust our compass just one degree toward what truly matters. This small but crucial shift creates the clarity and strength needed to lead with authenticity and purpose. We must be willing to embrace the discomfort of truth-telling, knowing that it’s the foundation for the lasting change we seek. When we speak the truth, we invite others to join us, building trust, deepening connections, and fostering the kind of transparency that makes collective impact possible.
Questions We’ll Explore:
Self-Truth:
What truths about yourself have you been avoiding or afraid to acknowledge?
How does it feel to name these truths, even if only to yourself?
Relational Truth:
Is there someone in your life with whom you need to share your truth? What would you say if you could express yourself freely and compassionately?
What fears come up when you think about telling the truth to this person? How can you support yourself through those fears?
Examine Alignment:
Where in your life do your actions, words, or decisions feel out of alignment with your values or desires?
What small step can you take today to bring yourself closer to living in alignment with your truth?

Not much—this program is designed to fit into your real life. I often use the mantra, “short times often,” which means I’ll encourage you to try short, simple mini-habit shifts between sessions. Think of it as a testing lab for what works in your life.
You won’t be doing heavy journaling or reading outside of our meetings. Our sessions are where the real work happens—space to process, reflect, and learn.
-
That’s absolutely okay. This program is about long-term transformation, which is why I’m offering bi-weekly sessions for the sake of consistent support. I understand life happens, and you probably won’t make it every single session. Don’t worry—I’ll share the session recordings afterward so you can stay on track.

The R.E.S.E.T. Method is a framework I created after years of deep study, practice, and personal transformation. From 2020–2025, I immersed myself in learning—becoming a trauma-informed certified yoga instructor and a certified Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) Qualified Administrator. I’ve blended these two areas of expertise to craft a method that’s both healing and practical.
This isn’t just something I teach—it’s something I’ve lived. The R.E.S.E.T. Method was born from my own journey of reclaiming my time, energy, and purpose while navigating the pressures of leadership, caregiving, and systemic challenges. It’s a proven framework to help you realign with your values, find balance, and lead with clarity—all while staying true to yourself.
The method is based on these 5 pillars:
• Rest and Recharge: Learn to honor your energy and embrace the power of rest as a non-negotiable part of your life.
• Explore Values: Reconnect with what matters most to you and align your actions with your deepest priorities.
• Simplify Commitments: Release what no longer serves you by focusing your energy on what truly matters.
• Embrace Boundaries: Protect your time and energy with clear, compassionate boundaries that create freedom.
• Tell the Truth: Get honest with yourself and others about your needs, your limits, and your purpose.

Let’s have a conversation. I’m not for everyone—and what a gift that is!
I truly find joy in synchronicity, in working with people who can genuinely benefit from this experience. If it’s not the right fit, I’ll be honest and let you know. This isn’t about forcing it; it’s about finding alignment for where you are right now. Reach out, and we’ll figure it out together: rochelle@rochelleym.com.

Not sure about hitting reset?
I get it. The idea of pausing, reflecting, and digging into what’s really going on can feel… overwhelming. Maybe even unnecessary.
Think of it this way:
Hitting reset isn’t about starting over or admitting failure. It’s about creating space to breathe. It’s about letting yourself step off the treadmill for just a moment, so you can move forward with clarity and intention.
Resetting doesn’t mean abandoning everything you’ve worked hard for—it’s about honoring all you’ve done and asking, “What do I need to keep going?”
Resetting doesn’t require big, sweeping changes. Sometimes it’s as simple as giving yourself permission to rest.
Resetting isn’t about doing more. It’s about doing what truly matters, in a way that feels aligned and sustainable.
“Without inner change, there can be no outer change. Without collective change, no change matters.” -my teacher, Rev. angel Kyodo williams
As your inner world evolves, your relationships deepen, your energy shifts, and the world around you starts to reflect your inner glow…breaking cycles of anxiety, and replacing them with peace.
Your journey is just beginning, and I can’t wait to welcome you to it.
