Award-Winning Author & Facilitator
My Purpose Realized
During my late-20’s, I held a leadership position at an award-winning non-profit, managing a team and speaking on stages in front of thousands. My identity was entwined with my work, which made it even more devastating when I was laid off on the last day of my maternity leave (along with my entire department).
My “work family” had let me go, shattering my community, livelihood, and sense of self. For the next decade, I held leadership roles in social-impact sectors, always rushing and feeling suffocated by the pressure to perform.
A traumatic miscarriage and the subsequent birth of my second daughter slowly shifted my perspective. The relentless drive to be perfect at work fell away. I started saying no to draining tasks and yes to radical self-care. I thrived personally and professionally by embracing truth-telling and investing in my community and family. I found joy and meaning in my work again.
I reclaimed my identity, time, and purpose. This journey inspired The Reset, my company that helps teams return to their core values and motivation for their work through mindfulness practices and facilitated group discussions.
