About Us
Why The Reset Exists
The Reset was born from a simple, radical question: What would it look like to lead from rest, not exhaustion?
Founded after years of facilitating hard conversations and witnessing burnout in mission-driven spaces, The Reset emerged from the lived experience of leading while exhausted—and knowing there had to be another way.
We started this work because too many purpose-driven leaders—especially those who hold marginalized identities—were burning out while doing the very work meant to create a better world. We saw how the emotional labor, structural inequities, and pressure to hold it all together were pushing folks past their limits.
What We Believe
At The Reset, we believe leadership should feel human, not heroic.
That creating cultures of care and accountability starts with the nervous system, not just new policies.
That reflection, rest, and realignment are not luxuries—they are foundations for sustainable change.
We’re not here to offer quick fixes or shallow strategies. We’re here to guide leaders back to themselves—and back to each other.
Because…
Healed leaders are more effective in delivering on organizational purpose and mission.
Healed leaders foster healthy cultures.
Healed leaders are just more fun to be around (we tell the truth around here).
Our Values
At The Reset, we believe leadership and wellbeing are inseparable. Our values reflect a deep commitment to liberation—for ourselves, our communities, and the systems we work within.
Rest is Resistance: We reject hustle culture and grind mentality. Rest is not a reward—it’s a requirement for sustainable leadership.
Wellbeing is Strategy: Burnout is not a badge of honor. We believe nervous system regulation, boundaries, and community care are critical to any leadership strategy.
Truth over Performance: We tell the truth about what’s not working, even when it’s hard.
Liberation is the Goal: We aim to dismantle oppressive systems within and around us. Leadership should move us closer to collective freedom, not further from ourselves.
Wholeness is Welcome: You don’t have to shrink, shape-shift, or compartmentalize. We create brave space for leaders to show up fully—as they are.
Joy is Non-Negotiable: Even in hard conversations, we lead with warmth, laughter, and possibility. Joy is our birthright and part of our resistance.
Language Matters: We speak with care. We disavow gender-insensitive, ableist, or oppressive language in every aspect of our work.
We Love Our Clients: Seriously. If we work together, it’s because there’s mutual trust, alignment, and respect. If it’s not a fit, we lovingly say so.

About our Founder
Rochelle Younan-Montgomery (she/her) didn’t set out to become a leadership coach, keynote speaker, or founder of a thriving business. She set out to survive—to belong—to find her voice in spaces that weren’t built for her. As a queer, mixed-race Egyptian and white woman, a first-generation college graduate, and the daughter of an immigrant, Rochelle learned early on how to read a room, build bridges, and hold space for complexity.
Over the past 17 years, those instincts evolved into a powerful practice of leadership. Rochelle has helped transform workplaces across sectors—from global brands like H&M, Bumble, and the World Wildlife Foundation to local governments and grassroots nonprofits. Whether facilitating courageous conversations or shaping long-term DEI strategy, she brings both clarity and compassion to the work of culture change.
As the Founder and CEO of The Reset, Rochelle now leads with a bold vision: that leadership rooted in mindfulness, equity, and nervous system regulation can be a force for healing and systemic change. Her approach is both strategic and deeply embodied—drawing from her training as a trauma-informed yoga instructor, Certified Intercultural Development Inventory® (IDI®) practitioner, racial justice facilitator, and somatic abolitionist.
She’s also a published author, a mother of two, and a fierce believer in collective care. Rochelle’s work is about more than workplace performance—it’s about helping leaders return to themselves, so they can lead with courage, rest, and integrity.
She lives in Minneapolis with her partner and daughters, and she’s building a business that reflects her values: liberation, love, and the audacity to imagine something better.
